Introspection

What is the meaning of my existence? I am constantly troubled by this thought and further introspection gives only a myriad of answers that is yet to find anything nearer to a satisfying lucidity.

What worth is our life if we spend half of it sleeping and the rest is spent worrying about our daily chores and survival? The remaining hour at our disposal is so encumbered with the irrelevance, mostly mistaken as the truth or a leap of faith. Strange is the irony that marks our everyday in a pervading theme of self-delusion and mockery. Fools that we are, we are always taken by surprise or act like one taken by surprise rather than admitting to our own folly, manifested in so many ways around us in our search for money, power, fame and glory.

When bad things happen, we take refuge under the wings of philosophical or religious bigotry. Thus, never admitting the truth in the midst of our maelstrom, our life which has lost its meaning of simple living and loving in peace and harmony.
